Would you like to discover or revisit your poetic voice? This workshop is appropriate for all writers.
Perhaps you're a beginner who has always wanted to try writing poetry. Maybe you've written before but never explored your poetry further and you are ready now.
Maybe you're a seasoned writer who wants to look further into the poetic realm to discover and define what may be next or may be missing in your current work.
Have you abandoned your writing pursuits because you didn't believe your writing had enough merit or wasn't interesting or unique enough? Let's change that.
In this workshop, we’ll explore your poetic voice and examine your individual uniqueness through various exercises and writing prompts. This is a great opportunity to move your creativity forward.
Short writing prompts are designed to surprise and inspire your imagination. Our discussions will enrich your writing and if you'd like to share your work, you're encouraged to do so but it's not required.
I suggest you read your favorite poets and writers before our workshop begins and determine what makes them stand out as your favorites.
You’ll leave this workshop with a renewed sense of accomplishment and pride in taking the first or next step toward writing more poetically.
